The Bucks 11+ Course

The Bucks Eleven Plus course runs from September – July during term time. Classes are held on a Monday evening 5:00pm – 7:00pm  and Saturday 9am - 11am for children in Year 5. I keep class sizes to a maximum of six to enable me to tailor lessons to your child’s needs.

All children who register will receive a free assessment to identify key strengths and skills, as well as areas for development. I will give you an honest appraisal of your child’s abilities. Bucks Eleven Plus aims to give every child the chance to succeed. However, grammar schools are not right for every child, so please consider carefully if this is the right option for your child. I would be happy to discuss this further with you if you are unsure.

The Bucks Eleven Plus course follows a comprehensive and structured programme to help children prepare for the Buckinghamshire GL 11 + assessment. The first two terms will ensure that children have covered the syllabus that is required. Starting practice papers too early can lead to children feeling overwhelmed. The final term is dedicated to building exam technique and speed.

Following each session, children will receive: a summary sheet of what has been covered: homework, including vocabulary lists and questions: suggested extension work. I will keep you updated with how your child is progressing on a regular basis.
